THANK HEAVEN! THE CROOKS ARE LEAVING!

It's been long 8 years. We no longer have to face the nausea of seeing that huckster and his cronies cram their brand of ideological, political crap down our throats. And at the same time, sending thinly disguised messages that dissent would be punished.

Prediction: We haven't begun to see the depth of theft and chicanery that have occurred. How about billions defrauded by Halliburton and like minded companies in that phony Iraq war.

Pray that Obama will not try to be such a centrist that he will obstruct a reasonable inquiry into the facts of what has happened to our country in the past 8 years: including the destruction of emails and other attempts to cover up their crimes.

We need at the very least a wide ranging and publicly reporting commission to plumb the murky depths of what these bottom crawlers have done to us.

At least now, there may be a chance for truth to emerge.

OBAMA'S BIGGEST HURDLE:PEOPLE PLAYING THE RACE CODE!

"Oh, I just don't like the way his name sounds, it's so foreign."
"That minister of his worries me."
"He hasn't had that much experience. He's only been in th Senate for two years."
"And what has he accomplished to show that he can be president?"
"Why wasn't he able to 'put Hillary away?'"

All of these supposed neutral comments about Barack Obama are code for "I won't vote for him because he is Black".

The extent of racism in the U.S. is staggering, but is barely talked about.

Except for the workplace, we live almost completely separate lives. Worlds of Whites and worlds of Blacks.

What Obama has done so far has almost been miraculous!

In a country where the overwhelming majority of prisoners are African American, a dark skinned man will probably be the nominee for President of one of the two major political parties.

But he will have an uphill battle, and the behind the scenes enemy will be the hidden racism that no one will admit.

Ask anybody, Black or White if they are racist and they will deny it. They honestly think they aren't.

Then ask them how they would feel if their off son or daughter wanted to marry someone of the other race, and they will pause, clear their throats, and give some neutralized reasons why it wouldn't be the best idea.

Mainly they will say "It just won't happen." The way people used to say "a black man will never be Presiden of the United States."

The best thing that happens in our society regarding the race conflict is when there is an actual interracial marriage or the birth of a well cared for interracial child. Like Obama. Then there is loving acceptance on both sides.

And considering what we've been through for almost eight long years, Obama's presidency may be the best thing that can happen to our country. We need some loving acceptance on both sides.

WELCOME TO AMERICA: CURRENTLY AN INSANE ASYLUM!

We all wait here, in this place of insanity we call America. We watch passively while our leaders decimate our most cherished principles. We are obedient and patient. Like patients in an institution. We do nothing. Our news sources are distracted, sometimes silly, but we observe them , a shadow of their former selves. We think about the greatness of our past and try to believe it is still present. But we know we are fooling ourselves. Our Army is not great like it once was. Our economy is not great like it once was. Our people are poorer and losing their homes. Even our babies die more than they do elsewhere in the World. Our leaders dance and strut like fools. We watch them, and wait.

Please read the following. It summarizes my notes of October 6, 2007, beautifully. Thank you, Robert Parry, wherever you are!

This Just In: Nothing is Happening- But Hope Springs Eternal!

O.K. I confess: frequently...too frequently...sometimes several times a day, I call up Google News to see if any change has occurred in the country's action against the Bush administration.

It's undoubtedly a clinical problem.

Again, and again, I am disappointed, and reality briefly sets in again for the umpteenth time: nothing is happening. And for a few seconds, I realize it's possible it may never happen.

There have been worse tragedies in the history of the World, and it is not hard to think of how those suffering silent masses must have felt when things were the darkest. As though it would never end. But usually, eventually, the Sun shone again, and some kind of justice occurred.

It probably will happen here too, but for now, the state of our country is not good.

HOORAY FOR BRATTLEBORO!

At least a few people in America have some cajones.

Besides Keith Olbermann, the only prominent commentator to forcefully speak against this terrible administration, a tiny town in Vermont seems to be speaking bravely against the thundering silence that has paralyzed our country since 2000.

The BushCheneyRoveRice bunch has totally intimidated our country into giving up our most sacred possession: the First Amendment.

The mainstream media, either out of fear of losing revenue, or just plain cowardice, has allowed this administration to commit crime after crime and tell lie after lie, where thousands of our own kids, and maybe hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, may have died or have become maimed. Millions of Iraqis have become displaced as refugees.

Let's give it up for those brave Vermonters, who have the guts to speak out in our own country, which has become terrorized by our leaders, to retreat from using our own First Amendment.

Democrats in Congress: And The Silence Goes On!

As the time races by, the Democrats in Congress continue to do nothing to counter the crimes and malfeasance of the Bush-Cheney administration.

Conyers has retreated. Schumer helped give us "I don't know what torture is " Mukasey. Pelosi is still keeping impeachment off the table. Reid says nothing.

A few brave communities, mainly in the Northeast, have voted to express themselves locally against the crimes of Bush, but the Democrats in Washington are holding back.

What are they afraid of?

If it's failure they are worried about, they look much worse by failing to act than failing by not taking action.

It appears they are choosing to fail by not acting.
